AgriQuality Limited
There is a tremendous opportunity to market New Zealand’s food as the best in the world – but we have to be able to prove it meets the highest standards of safety, quality and sustainability. In an increasingly nervous world, proof comes from having food products and processes independently verified by experts and traceable right through the supply chain. That’s where AgriQuality comes in.
AgriQuality is the most accredited provider of independent auditing, inspection and testing services to the food and agricultural sectors in the Southern Hemisphere. Our comprehensive accreditation portfolio, which includes more than 22 internally recognised standards, allows the products we certify access to even the most demanding overseas markets.
The business’s core activity is to provide quality assurance services through impartial verification, from farm right through to the supermarket shelf.
Our on-farm services aim at enhancing risk management and assuring quality for farmers. We have a spread of approximately 160 veterinarians, field technicians, serologists, pathologists and epidemiologists providing answers and solutions to the farming community.
AgriQuality leads the way in on-farm quality assurance, with services covering Tb testing, facial eczema risk monitoring, sampling and testing for diseases such as EBL, BVD, IRB, Brucella Ovis and Johnes, veterinary epidmiology investigations, calf-disbudding, environmental monitoring, and live animal export.
We manufacture GMP-approved, PPD Tuberculin - 'Observe' - and deliver it to markets all over the world. We are the sole distributors of Prionics' veterinary diagnostic products in Australia and New Zealand and are contracted to manufacture high quality Tb and Johnes disease diagnostics for global distribution on their behalf.
AgriQuality has also been involved in biosecurity for more than 100 years. Our standing army of biosecurity experts has an international reputation for its ability to manage large-scale biosecurity operations. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to livestock, horticultural, forestry, diary, meat, apiary, GMO and marine biosecurity emergencies and to carry our routine biosecurity surveillance.
