Mark Jeffries
Chief Executive Officer of Meat & Wool New Zealand

Mark Jeffries was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Meat New Zealand in April 2003, and following this was involved in the referendum process prior to the formation and has been the CEO of Meat & Wool New Zealand since its formation in July 2004.

Prior to this appointment, Mark was Livestock Improvement Corporation's Group General Manager (Information), based in Hamilton. From 1987 to 1997 Mark was employed by the Australian Dairy Farmers' Federation as Executive Officer for the Australian Dairy Herd Improvement Scheme.

Mark has an Honours Degree from La Trobe University (Melbourne). He is a past President of the International Committee on Animal Recording (ICAR) Past Member - Steering Committee, International Bull Evaluation Service (Interbull).
